Baby Care FAQs

About Pure Joy Babies

Who is Pure Joy Babies?

Pure Joy Babies is an Australian owned and operated supplier of high-quality nappies, baby wipes and everyday childcare essentials. We have served Australian homes and early learning centres. Our staff bring with them a combined 20 years of childcare experience. Our baby care range sits alongside the tissues, hand towels and toilet paper that centres order in the same delivery. Same people, same service, now with a premium baby range of our own.

Does Pure Joy Babies sell to early learning centres only?

No. Centres make up a large share of orders, but families buy exactly the same cartons online through our e-commerce store. There is no minimum order and no account needed.

Products & Quality

Are your nappies and baby wipes safe for babies?

Yes. Our nappies and baby wipes are dermatologically tested and suited to sensitive skin, and the nappy range is rated for up to 12 hours of protection. We focus on quality and comfort for every child. Australian Consumer Law also requires everything we sell to be safe and fit for purpose when used normally, and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission sets out the consumer guarantees that come with it.

Does Pure Joy supply bulk nappies or wipes for childcare centres?

Yes! We supply early learning centres at service pricing, with flexible order sizes and scheduled deliveries across Australia.

Which Australian regulations cover nappies and wipes?

Baby wipes fall under Australian cosmetics regulation, because they sit against the skin to cleanse it. That puts them under the Consumer Goods (Cosmetics) Information Standard 2020, a mandatory standard published by Product Safety Australia. It requires a full ingredient list on the pack, in descending order by mass or volume. Anyone importing or manufacturing wipes must also register with the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme first.

Disposable nappies carry no separate mandatory standard of their own. That is normal rather than a gap. Product Safety Australia makes the point that not every product sold here has to meet a safety standard. Australian Consumer Law still applies in full.

How to choose the right nappy size

Each size covers a weight range rather than an age. Size 3 fits 6 to 11 kg and size 4 fits 10 to 15 kg. Size 5 fits 13 to 18 kg, and size 6 takes over from 16 kg. The ranges overlap deliberately, so a baby near the top of one range moves up without a gap.

How do you know when to move up a nappy size?

Weight is the first signal. Leaks overnight, tabs that no longer reach comfortably, or marks around the legs all point the same way. Within an overlap, the larger size usually holds up better overnight.

Why does the range start at size 3?

The current range covers 6 kg and up, so it suits babies past the newborn stage through to toilet training. The range does not go below size 3 at the moment.

What goes into the wipes?

Each pack holds 80 sheets, with 12 packs to a carton. The formulation stays deliberately short: glycerin to support hydration, vitamin E for softness, and disodium cocoamphodiacetate as a mild cleansing agent. It leaves out propylene glycol and potassium sorbate.

Are the paper products recycled?

Many hand towels, tissues and toilet rolls use recycled or sustainably sourced materials. Material varies between products, so check the individual product page for sourcing detail.

Ordering & Payments

How to order nappies & baby wipes online

Browse the range on our online store, add the cartons you need and check out. A confirmation email follows once the order goes through. Ordering needs no account, although saving one speeds up reordering.

Which payment methods does Pure Joy Babies accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other secure online payment options, all in Australian dollars (AUD).

Why do cartons work out cheaper than supermarket packs?

Everything sells by the carton at one flat price, with no per-pack retail markup in between. One carton replaces a stack of individual supermarket packs, so the cost per nappy comes down and you reorder far less often. Supplying early learning centres at volume is what keeps our carton prices where they are, and families order from the same range at the standard carton price.

How long does one carton last?

That depends on the size and the child. A size 4 carton holds 184 nappies. The Raising Children Network puts typical use at six to eight nappies a day for a toddler, so one carton covers roughly three to four weeks. Size 3 holds 208, size 5 holds 176 and size 6 holds 160.

Can you mix sizes in one order?

Yes. Each size sits on its own product page, so add whichever cartons suit. Nothing locks in, so the next order can simply move up a size.

Shipping & Delivery

Does Pure Joy Babies deliver nappies and baby wipes across Australia?

Yes, we provide nationwide delivery. Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days. Metro areas typically receive orders in 3–5 business days, while regional deliveries may take longer.

What does delivery cost? And is it free?

Carton orders ship free, Australia-wide. A tracking number follows on dispatch.

Can cartons go to a PO box?

No. Full cartons need a street address, so checkout asks for a residential or business address.

Can a centre set up scheduled deliveries?

Yes. Centres can arrange service pricing, flexible order sizes and scheduled deliveries anywhere in Australia. Centres also carry hygiene obligations under the National Quality Standard. The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority publishes guidance on toileting and nappy changing, which sets out what assessors look for.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns on nappies and wipes after a change of mind

Hygiene rules rule out returns on opened nappies, wipes and other sanitary products. However, faulty or incorrect items can be returned within 7 days of delivery. None of that affects consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law.
